pfenning logistics and HFL Herbstfrischelogistik support Bad Hersfelder Festspiele
Contract logistics provider pfenning logistics is currently developing two logistics centres in the East Hesse region, in Bad Hersfeld and the neighbouring municipality of Mecklar. Together with its subsidiary HFL Herbst Frischelogistik, pfenning logistics aims to contribute to preserving the local cultural diversity.
Bad Hersfeld, 4 July 2022
The pfenning Group, a family-run contract logistics provider, is reaffirming its commitment to the Bad Hersfeld location through its sponsorship of the Bad Hersfeld Festival. For the 71st time, the music and theatre performances will take place on the festival stage of the Stiftsruine, running from July to early September 2022.
In October 2021, pfenning logistics announced the development of two temperature-controlled logistics centres at the Ludwigsau site and in the neighbouring municipality of Mecklar. In Bad Hersfeld, the “freshcube osthessen” is being built, comprising approximately 12,000 m² of modern warehouse space for storage and logistics across three temperature ranges. At the same time, the new administrative building of HFL Herbst Frischelogistik – which has been part of the pfenning Group since 2019 – is being constructed here. In Mecklar, the “multicube osthessen” is being built with a total usable area of 116,000 m². Through this development, pfenning logistics will create around 300 new jobs in the region.
As a medium-sized company led by the Pfenning family in its third and fourth generation, pfenning logistics is aware of its responsibility towards the socio-cultural environment at its locations. Local engagement – whether in the social, cultural or sporting sphere – is therefore an important part of its business activities. By supporting the Bad Hersfeld Festival, pfenning logistics demonstrates its commitment to the location and acknowledges this special responsibility.
„We are very pleased to have found a supporter in pfenning logistics that makes a positive economic contribution to the community through its development projects. The support for the Bad Hersfeld Festival makes us feel strengthened and valued in our cultural diversity,” comments Joern Hinkel, Artistic Director of the Festival.
„By building the multicube osthessen and freshcube osthessen, we are strengthening Bad Hersfeld as a business location. Herbst Frischelogistik, which has been part of the pfenning Group since 2019, has been closely connected to Bad Hersfeld for decades through a strong working relationship. We want to continue and expand on this. That is why we are delighted – and it is a matter close to our hearts – to contribute to promoting cultural diversity in Bad Hersfeld as a sponsor of the Bad Hersfeld Festival,” emphasises Martin Königstein, Managing Director of pfenning logistics and HFL Herbst Frischelogistik in Bad Hersfeld.
Special thanks go to Klaus H. Radtke, the sponsorship representative of the Bad Hersfeld Festival, who supported pfenning logistics throughout the sponsorship process.
