Climate-friendlier on the road: Nestlé focuses on lower emissions in transport and logistics

A new milestone has been reached: Together with logistics partner pfenning logistics, Nestlé celebrated the groundbreaking for a new distribution center in the heart of Germany at the beginning of July. From the so-called multicube osthessen in Bad Hersfeld, Nestlé will supply its customers from 2023 with products from the segments coffee, chocolate, cereals and Nestlé Professional. Through the central location, the company reduces its associated transport kilometers by 30 percent and thus contributes significantly to achieving the self-imposed climate targets.
