Heddesheim, May 4, 2026
The pfenning Group has appointed Marc Marnet as Director of Sales for the Consumer Products & Food division. Since April 1, he has been responsible for the strategic expansion of the business unit, which includes not only acquiring new customers but also managing key accounts and handling tenders. With this appointment, the pfenning Group completes the reorganization of its sales structure by division. In the Consumer Products & Food sector, a targeted focus on industry requirements means a clear alignment with specific market dynamics, high-frequency operations, and increasing demands for transparency and supply security.
Marc Marnet brings more than 20 years of experience in national and international logistics, with a focus on food, FMCG, and chemicals. Most recently, he held a senior position in business development at a major Japanese conglomerate, focusing on strategic business development and new customer acquisition. Prior to that, he held various senior and leadership roles in sales and business development at renowned logistics companies with international operations.
Growth Opportunities
The market for consumer products and food is undergoing a transformation: rising cost pressures, volatile demand, and increasing regulatory requirements are shaping the landscape. At the same time, the need for integrated, resilient supply chain solutions is growing. In food logistics in particular, quality, process reliability, and flexibility are crucial—for example, when dealing with sensitive goods flows, short lead times, and seasonal fluctuations.
“The Consumer Products & Food sector today demands more than traditional logistics. It’s about stable processes, digital solutions, transparency, and the ability to react quickly to changes,” says Marc Marnet. “This is precisely where I see great potential—through customized concepts, integrated services, and a deep understanding of customer processes. I look forward to working with the team to further develop the Consumer Products & Food division.” In this context, he is focusing on further expanding the pfenning Group’s expertise in food and FMCG. This includes the development of additional value-added services as well as the closer integration of warehousing, transportation, and value-added services.
“With Marc Marnet, we are gaining a proven industry expert,” says Georg Lammers, Managing Director of pfenning logistics. “He knows the requirements of food and consumer goods logistics in detail. Together, we will continue to develop our solutions in a targeted manner and strengthen our position in a challenging market environment.”
