pfenning logistics launches nationwide flexible service concept for short-term requirements and expands presence in the Rhine-Main region
The Heddesheim-based contract logistics provider is responding to the increased demand for short-term warehouse space and resources with the innovative service concept “WAREhouses+”, which the logistics service provider has expanded to 371,000 m2 across several central locations. These warehouse spaces are complemented by the sustainably designed, in-house developed multicubes, which are currently also undergoing a nationwide expansion.

The pfenning logistics group, a family-run contract logistics provider, is responding to disruptions in supply chains and the resulting increased demand for warehouse space and logistics services with “WAREhouses+”. Due to delivery difficulties in goods flows, retail, industrial and automotive companies are increasing their safety stocks in order to become more independent of supply chain disruptions.
With the logistics service “WAREhouses+”, the Heddesheim-based contract logistics company is now able to optimally serve its customers’ needs. The “+” in the logo stands for the wide range of value-added services that pfenning logistics provides around “WAREhouses+” for customers from a wide variety of industries. The services are based on profound logistics expertise in target sectors such as retail, chemicals and automotive. The new concept is accompanied by the claim “fast. flexible. customised.”, which emphasises rapid availability, additional flexibility and the fulfilment of specific customer requirements at the location.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, pfenning logistics has built up additional capacities and resources at the transport hubs of Karlsruhe, Düsseldorf and Koblenz. Together with the long-established locations in the Rhine-Neckar region as well as Bremen, Bispingen and Berlin, the “WAREhouses+” capacities have grown by 150,000 m² to a total of 371,000 m². In addition, pfenning logistics has expanded its transport and warehousing network in the Rhine-Main region.
In Waldslaubersheim near Mainz / Bingen, pfenning logistics provides comprehensive logistics services across 45,000 m2 of warehouse and logistics space. Of this, 20,000 m2 has already been managed since 1 May 2022 for a well-known customer from the high-tech consumer goods segment. The customer, a high-tech group and global market leader in various consumer goods sectors, benefits from the location in the Rhine-Main area as a central German warehouse. All steps of the logistics process are handled here, from goods receipt through to goods dispatch and shipping to B2B and B2C customers. In addition, pfenning logistics provides various value-added services at the location: spare parts management and dispatch as well as returns processing. A further 25,000 m² is currently being marketed. Potential warehouse customers benefit from the excellent location on the A61 motorway, which provides a direct connection to Venlo in the Netherlands and to the Hockenheim motorway interchange.
