The pfenning group extends its central administration building in Heddesheim

The construction of a new administration wing is in response to the strong growth of recent years, which has led to an increase in the number of employees in the pfenning administration.

The decision to undertake this construction project marks a further milestone in the company’s history. Exactly ten years have passed since the move to Heddesheim. At that time, pfenning employed just under 1,700 people; in the meantime, the workforce has grown to 7,000. In addition, the company’s expertise has been expanded through strategic acquisitions of new business areas and subsidiaries throughout Germany. This development has led to an increase in the number of employees in all central administrative departments, making additional office space necessary.

Construction work began in October 2023 and will take up a large part of the administration car park at Benzstrasse 1. This is expected to continue until autumn 2024. Once completed, there will be a total of three administrative wings. The newest wing will have a total of four storeys and will form a stair-like arrangement with the existing areas, which are built on two and three storeys respectively. Between the three wings, which are arranged in a U-shape, a central outdoor and indoor area will serve as a focal point for personal encounters and communication between staff.

Throughout the construction period, administrative operations will continue without interruption, and the site will always remain accessible to business partners.
